Exercise Evidence for Accelerated Results Welcome (Part 2)
- I will be sharing many of my success stories in this blog! Look for some of those coming soon. For a quick preview, check out the "testimonials" page of this site.
- I give a special thanks to Dr. Matthew Rhea for his help. Dr. Rhea is, in my opinion, the top exercise researcher in the world. He seems to have a "Midas touch" in exercise research. He has helped me in innumerable ways. I feel very lucky to have crossed paths with Dr. Rhea three years ago.
- I will be working with Dr. Rhea in his new exciting business endeavor-http://www.race-rx.com. Dr. Mark Peterson, currently at the University of Michigan Medical School, has also served as an example of excellence and commitment in the exercise world.
- There is a large disconnect between volumes of strong, published exercise evidence and what actually happens in gyms, tracks and fields across the country.
- I hope to follow the leadership and examples of Dr. Rhea and Dr. Peterson in bringing more proven solutions to the exercise field and the exerciseconsumer. The exercise field has long been dominated by personal experience and the experience of others. This is not necessarily wrong, but it can be incomplete. To some extent, exercise research is just going into a warehouse somewhere unread, and much of it is being ignored or misunderstood.
- My objective here is to place evidence in an understandable context forboth the exercise public and exercise professionals. Exercise and fitnessare multi-billion dollar markets, and I think there is definitely room at the table for this approach.I would like this site to be a dynamic service integrating the worlds of academic research and exercise application.
- In this time of epidemic health struggles in this country and the world, I invite you to join me. If I lose focus that this site is designed to address the needs of theexercising public, I will have made a mistake.
- Please tell me how I am doing and what you would like to see addressed. Hopefully, this site will become your "go-to" site for reliable, credibleand safe exercise information.
- Almost anything is replaceable except our health and the health of ourloved ones. I hope to show you the most effective ways to maintain theseprecious gifts.
- Have a wonderful, healthy Holiday season.... All the best Jeff Blair
